Automatic Cattle Feeding System

Abstract of  this project : 

In Nepal, the feeding of cows is manual. The feed is distributed by a cattle farmer which is time consuming as well as less effective.Automatic Cattle Feeding System is a robotic feeding system in which the feed is manually loaded in the feeder and it follows the feed fence through a pre-determined route until it reaches the feeding fence at a pre-determined distance.The system places the feed by the side of the feed fence through a sliding door. Thus, this project is designed by keeping in mind that traditional ways can be minimized and can lead to the sustainable change around for farmers. To update if from manual to automatic, extra feature are added like obstacle detection using ultrasonic sensor (HC-SR04) and then after detecting those values from the sensors, automatic cattle feeding system does its operation. To control the system, android device (mobile phone) is used which communicates with the system through Bluetooth module (HC-06).So, this system is ATmega328 microcontroller based.
This added feature directly helps to feed the cattle in automated way and supports that more frequent feeding results in higher feed intake and higher production.
