GPS based Animal Tracking with SMS Alert

This paper was selected in KEC Conference 2019

Every living creature on this earth has an important role in the ecosystem. At this time the wild animals are more prone to trafficking so they are now endangered. So, in every country we see that there are wildlife animal reserves and national parks where these animals can live freely in the forest however these are monitored by human beings. Also, now days these wildlife national parks have become popular for a tourist area. Now day’s wild animal becoming less in number because of Forest destroyed by human civilization. It is important to save the life of wild animals in the sanctuaries. In every year wild animals tracked and killed by people. But these animals also undergo some disease, movement of animals can destroy. Due to a disturbance in the movement of animals suffering from some diseases. Endangered animal like Rhinoceros, Elephants, White Tiger, Panda and many other animals. Nepal is a tourism place containing different national park and wildlife areas. Recently it contains ten national parks, three wildlife reserves and six conservation areas. Animal location, movement, and body temperature of the animal can transfer to the officer of wildlife/national parks. If there are some wounds on the animal body and because of wounds temperature of animal rises, then the system can send SMS to the forest officer so he/she can give immediate attention. Also, if an animal goes out of the wildlife area then the system can send the SMS to the forest officer so he/she can give immediate attention. If someone tries to kill the animal  movement of the animal can drastically change to its limit and send SMS to the officer. World Wide popular animal Trafficking by people. This system gives animals’ information to the officer. The objectives of this project are to track the animal, to sense the temperature and motion and to alert the user with SMS.

16th National Technological Festival

16th National Technological Festival

Locus 2019 organized 16 National Technological Festival. The theme of this competition was to promote Nepali hardware design in market and to introduce new technology to all public.

Project Name : Automatic Door Lock System

This project was based on home automation. People have the problem of security. So this project was done to overcome the security problem of locking and unlocking the door. In this project Microcontroller was used which controlled all the input from keypad, monitor on the password basis. If correct password was entered, lock of door was opened automatically and after few second lock was closed automatically. If unknown user try to open with wrong password several times, information in the form of message would be sent to the owner of the house.

4th National FPGA Design Competition 2019

4th National FPGA Design Competition 2019

The 4th National FPGA Design Competition was organized by Digitronix Nepal,Logitronix Nepal and Kathford International College of Engineering and Management,Balkumari Lalitpur as the continuation of"FPGA Design Competition ",a yearly event. The theme of this competition was open. Enthusiast having any project on FPGA was eligible for the competition. While FPGA board implementation was not mandatory, so the simulation based design can also be completed and win.

Project Name : Design and an implementation of finite state machine using FPGA.

A system where particular inputs cause particular changes in state can be represented using finite state machine. Finite state machine can be used to model problem in many fields including mathematics, artificial intelligence, game and linguistics. A finite state machine (FSM) is a machine specified by a finite set of conditions of existence (called “states”) and a likewise finite set of transitions among the states triggered by events. A sequence detection is an implementation of finite state machine (FSM).
A sequential logic unit which takes an input and a current state also produces an output and a new state. It is composed of a combinational logic unit and flipflops placed in such a way as to maintain state information. Finite automata may have output corresponding to each transition. There are two types of finite state machine that generate output.
Mealy Machine
It is an FSM whose output depends on the present state as well as the present input. It has fewer state. It reacts faster to input. They generally react in the same block.
Moore Machine
It is an FSM whose output depend on only the present state. It has more states. More logic is required to decode the outputs resulting in more circuit delays. They generally react one clock cycle later.

Circuit fabrication and Etching Competition

Dristi 2.0

Dristi 2.0 was organized by free student council in collaboration with Electronics project club, kalimati.

Circuit fabrication and Etching Competition

This competition was to design PCB Layout of given schematic circuit using Proteus. Time limit for the design was given 2 hours. On the basis of good fabrication and etching, winner was assigned. Our team was able to secure 2nd position in the competition.
